Geoff has more than 13 years experience working in corporate recovery, restructuring and insolvency. Geoff joined MCR in 2002 having previously worked for one of Australia's leading turnaround, reconstruction and forensic practices.

Geoff has led many of MCR's major insolvency assignments, including a number of the firm's high profile appointments within the financial services & markets, travel and retail sectors.

He has considerable experience dealing with FSA regulated businesses and the wider financial services and markets sector, both in advisory and formal insolvency capacities. His work has involved regular interaction with a number of sector teams within the FSA and other UK and international regulatory authorities. A recent assignment involves acting as lead Administrator of Weavering Capital (UK) Limited, the London based Hedge Fund Manager, which acted as investment advisor to various international funds with reported AUM of c$650m.

His travel assignments include DAS Air Ltd and EOS Airlines Inc. As part of his work on EOS Airlines Inc, the transatlantic premium class airline, Geoff was one of the first UK insolvency practitioners to be appointed as UK Administrator to a US incorporated company. This required working closely with the US Chapter 11 team to deal with its UK affairs utilising the UNCITRAL Model Law enacted by the Cross Border Insolvency Regulations.

Geoff's recent retail assignments include acting as Joint Administrator of Borders (UK) Limited and MFI Group Limited, as well as advising on the restructuring of various other retail businesses.

In addition to his sectoral focus, Geoff has developed strong relationships with many clearing banks and asset based lenders. He has undertaken numerous review and advisory assignments for various lenders and investors and is well regarded for his considered approach in dealing with distressed clients and delicate situations. Geoff also regularly acts for clients of various legal and accountancy practices.

Geoff is a Chartered Accountant and a licensed UK Insolvency Practitioner. He has presented to industry representative bodies, and provides regular training sessions to the operations and recovery departments of several of the UK's leading lenders.
